The National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder

hosting a special Family Connections weekend.  Orlando, Florida Family Connections Weekend Workshop — August 29 & 30, 2015

Location:

Aspire Health Partners

5151 Adanson Street

Orlando, FL 32804

Due to our limited number of volunteer leaders across the country, we have a lengthy waiting list for our Family Connections 12-week classes in select areas.

Twice a year, we offer a two-day intensive weekend version of our traditional 12-week class in these areas to registered family members of relatives who struggle with BPD at no cost. A donation is always appreciated. (NEABPD is a 501 3(c) )

WHAT IS FAMILY CONNECTIONS:

Family Connections is offered throughout the US and in 17 foreign countries by trained, volunteer family leaders at no cost to family members of relatives who suffer from BPD.  The psycho-educational program is designed by Drs. Alan Fruzzetti and Perry Hoffman and is intended to provide family members with:

* Current research and information on BPD

* Basic coping skills based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

* An opportunity to learn and practice DBT relationship skills

* Networking and Support

* Required educational background for training future leaders

DETAILS:

This intensive two-day workshop will be held the weekend of August 29 and 30 at Aspire Health Partners mental health facility in Orlando, FL from 8:30AM to 5:00PM on Saturday and Sunday.  (http://aspirehealthpartners.com)

It will be co-facilitated by two trained Family Connections Leaders: Susan Davidson from Atlanta and Beth McCrave from New Hampshire.  Both Susan and Beth are family members of relatives suffering from BPD.

The class is free. Since NEABPD is an all-volunteer organization, donations are appreciated to help defray the costs of the training materials and operational costs of this special workshop where possible.

Each person is responsible for their own travel, hotel and meals.   NEABPD will provide all required training and presentation materials.

Suggestions for nearby hotels to registered participants are available upon request.
