It is with great sadness that the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder mourns one of its own family.   Beatrice Martha Woodward, affectionately as Bea or BB, ended her thirty-year, brave battle with mental illness on June 28th. Bea was the daughter of our beloved Trisha Woodward, one of the seven founding members of NEABPD and the driving engine behind the organization.   Anyone who has been lucky to have had contact with Trish knows her passion, compassion and commitment to those impacted by borderline personality disorder.  Our hearts go out to the Woodward family and we ask people to join us in remembering Bea who represents the too many lives lost to mental illness.   Bea fought a courageous battle for the three decades of her struggles, returning to school for training as a nurse, working in the field and  described as“ one of the best nurses” by a colleague.   A memorial service will be held in Vermont on Thursday July 10th and any thoughts people want shared at that service can be sent to info@neabpd.org.
