NEABPD’s Family Connections Program noted in the New York Times Science Section August 4, 2014

…………..From a mom; “I was very excited to come across the letter in Tuesday’s NY Times. When I read the original article about caregivers, I did indeed think about how much the family group helped us. When I look back at those nightmare years, I can definitively state that without the group I don’t think my daughter and I could have found our way back to each other. We have such a wonderful relationship now – much better than comparable mother-adult daughter relationships than my friends have with their children. We respect each other and listen to one another and understand that words can hurt. I still use the skills in the rest of my life too, and I am grateful every day for the training I received”.
