Dr. Blaise Aguirre, MD Assistant Professor of psychiatry at Harvard medical school and Medical Director 3East DBT Program, McLean Hospital spoke at our LA Conference today and presented some very important aspects of Stigma.
His presentation, Stigma in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder is part of a series of posts we will be doing on STIGMA. We would like to thank Dr. Aguirre for allowing us to use his material and for speaking at our LA Conference.
For clinicians, taking on a client with BPD does not come without major concerns. Dr. Aguirre presented this list of issues that promote stigma and thus further the misunderstanding about BPD, for patients and their families.
