Family Connections™ Virtual Leader Training

Family Connections™ – BPD/Emotion Dysregulation
Family Connections™ – Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery

A Deep Dive Into the Family Connections™ Curriculum

Please join us for three days of learning presented by Dr. Alan Fruzzetti, co-creator of Family Connections™ – BPD/Emotion Dysregulation and Family Connections™ – Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery. For each program’s Deep Dive Leader Training, Alan will walk us through each module in his easy-going style which includes examples, roleplays, and time for questions. Each day, we’ll break-out into small groups and an experienced FC leader will facilitate discussion and skills practice. If you’re a recent graduate, experienced leader, or a mental health professional learning about the Family Connections™ programs for the first time, you’ll end the weekend with an even greater understanding of the education, skills, and support Family Connections™ offers families of those impacted by bpd, emotional dysregulation, and for parents of children struggling with suicidality and self-harm behaviors.

What are the differences between the courses?

There are many similarities between Family Connections™ – BPD/Emotion Dysregulation and Family Connections™ – Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery, however Family Connections™ – Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery is specifically tailored to the needs of parents who have experienced a child’s suicidal behavior regardless of the diagnosis. This program is targeted toward those who experience trauma or stress-related problems — such as increased distress, grief, uncertainty about how to respond to a child’s crisis behavior — as result of caring for a child who attempted suicide, struggles with suicidal thoughts, or engages in non-suicidal self-injury.  Below is the guideline we use for participants…

Family Connections™ - Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery program
I am a parent of someone with severe self-harming behaviors or who has attempted to end their life.
I am a parent of someone who is or has been hospitalized for their own safety.
My child’s hospitalizations/suicide attempts affect my life.
I am a mental health professional or student interested in learning more about supporting parent trauma.

Family Connections™ - BPD/Emotion Dysregulation Program
I have a person in my life who is 13 years or older and has been diagnosed with BPD.
I have a person in my life who has difficulty controlling their emotions, a negative self-image, patterns of difficult relationships, and destructive behaviors.
Family Connections was recommended to me by a professional, family member, or friend.
I am a mental health professional or student interested in learning more about BPD.
